The composition of wear plate (D-Plate)?

𝑫-𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 consists of 2 components:

- Mild steel base plate and onto which would be welded overlay material - one or two layers of highly abrasive resistant chromium carbide (that is overlaid by using high-quality welding wires with Open-Arc welding, Sub-Arc Welding). The composition of composite wear-plate can be changed according to the circumstances such as abrasion and impact; or just only abrasion or temperature in addition.

*Chemical composition of D-Plate’s overlay materials depends on various applications requested by the particular condition.


The obvious boundary between mild steel and the Chromium carbide overlay

 The quality of Wear-plate absolutely includes some main factors: welding materials, technological process,... However, Welding current source is one of these main factors directly making the quality of wear-plate.
More concretely, if it has well welding current source it would have flow-control welding in steady, Arc... It leads to stability, homogeneous quality can see by height, the crown of weld, the boundary between mild steel and overlay. The abrasion resistance feature have been equally distributed on the whole surface of wear-plate.
